This is a fan continuation of the game Changed on steam.
"So, human, where do you want to go next?"
"I told you to stop calling me that."
"Sorry, Colin"
It's been a week since you left the laboratory. You and Puro are exploring the outside world. You briefly wonder whether or not anyone will remember you. You suddenly feel homesick, from the memories of your childhood.
"Are you okay?" Puro asks you. "It's fine if you want to sit down for a bit."
The two of you sit down, and he strokes your fur. You start to feel a bit better. "I was just thinking about when I was a human," you tell Puro. "Actually, I have an idea. I want to go back to my home."
"How are we going to get there? We have no way of finding where you came from."
"Maybe we can ask Dr. K"
"It's been so long. I doubt he remembers."
The two of you begin to walk again without saying anything. Then, you get another idea.
"Hey Puro, did you have any books that had pictures and words on them?"
"Yeah, I had a lot."
"I need to see some."
"Seriously? We're really far away now."
"No, we aren't. I can follow our trail back."
"Really?"
"Yeah. Can't you?"
"No."
"Well, whatever, I'm going to go back, and you should probably come with me."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You walk back to the laboratory, Say hi to Dr. K, and run to Puro's room. Somehow, you manage to find your way there without getting hurt. You fumble through all his books, and find one that will help you immensely.
"Where is it... where is it..."
You flip through the pages of the atlas, careful not to scratch any with your claws. It's still kind of hard to control yourself, and you accidentally tear a page.
Finally, you find the page you were looking for.
"What is it?" Puro asks.
"This is a map of where we are. I can see the place that I was from too!"
Before you exit, you ask Dr. K some questions.
"Is it possible there are still people out there besides the elites?"
"Yes, but the chances are very slim. The virus outbreak left nearly no survivors. After, anyone who didn't go into the shelter probably would have gotten caught by the latexes."
"In that case, should I try to scout them out so that there are no carriers of the virus?"
"Hmm...That's actually a pretty good idea."
"Also, can I transfur humans?"
"Possibly. I am not sure."
"Ok, thanks."
You and Puro run out of the lab, carrying the atlas. "According to this, my home is north of here." You look around you. The sun was just about to set. You remember that the sun sets in the east, and run north.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

You've finally arrived at the city that was once your home.
You walk along the familiar streets, but then you smell something strange.
"It's a human, but there's something strange about it..."
You decide to follow the trail. As you keep going, another smell mingles with the one of the human, a smell you can't recognize. You keep following, faster now. You realize that you probably recognize the human you are trailing from before you were captured. Puro calls for you to slow down, so you stop a little and wait for Puro to catch up.
"I think I recognize the human," you tell Puro, "and now I think he or she is being chased."
"Really? Then we should probably go now. Sorry for making you wait." He replies.
You keep following the trail. It leads to your old home.
"What a strange place to go to, my house from before" you mutter to yourself.
You go inside, and see your childhood friend being cornered by a latex monster!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You gasp and tackle the monster. As you fight, you tell Puro to get the human outside, and protect him at all costs. You continue to fight with the monster, and finally, it goes into an air vent. You go back outside, and see the human fighting against Puro's grip. You snicker at Puro's reaction, and tell your friend that it's fine, you an Puro are both civilized.
