My current thoughts about having writers block, regardless of the reasons causing it.

Another Pathway'

I should get off this pathway
it leads in the wrong direction,
and no one is maintaining it,
so it holds a lot of infections.

I think I have something very bad,
it could be that ‘writer’s block’.
My mind plans delightful works,
but my writing comes out ’ad hoc’.

There is no rhythmic poetic line
The rhyming all seems so fake,
I need to find my doggone muse
and secure him to a stake.

I’ll write again, no matter what
Flowing words will fill each line
I’ll get back to writing poetry
In a style that is purely mine.

Maybe I’ll include a story too
to tell of my tale of woe
and I’ll call the stories fiction
so your tears need never flow.

They say that if you are a writer
the need to write will force your pen
to put real words on paper
again and yet again.

Because I believe I am a writer
I’ll post this for all to see,
and reviewers will soon say
if my muse now works for me.
