Spontaneous poem.
You leaned on me even though I despised you
You needed me to survive, to get through
Even when I shooed you away
You decided to disobey

I didn't know what you felt for me
However I still feel like an honouree
Maybe because I felt ecstatic under the spotlight
For as long as a fortnight

Or maybe because it didn't happen frequently
That is why I waited for it greedily
And I wish you knew
How I felt towards you

But you were the only one there for me
Even though you should have been set free
Now you found someone else to keep you warm
And protect you from the swarm

I know it is unfair
to have you return because I am in despair
Therefore, I wish you the best
And always have a rest

I treated you like a mosquito
But you cared for me like your favourite burrito
Now all I do is look back to these memories
For they are my best remedies
