Written 17 years after 9/11

We will never forget!
Reverberates through our minds:
Memories retrieved.

Our prayer ascend,
like the perfume of roses,
for souls of the departed.

We will never forget!
Paralyzing shock;
a friend no longer present.

The first responders
did not hesitate
to enter the twin towers.

We will never forget!
Remember the heroes
as our prayers ascend.
