This is about the wonder and intricacy of a snowflake.
|You ever watched a flake of snow
just falling to the ground.
In silent flight, on graceful wings
lands lightly with no sound.
Each crystal formed, by chilling cold,
a masterpiece in ice.
No two the same, their shape unique,
not one repeating twice.
Geometric shapes reflecting light,
as beauty in our eyes.
Dancing effortlessly upon the wind,
while floating through the skies.
Large sugar covered wafers,
and others very small.
Collecting in each other's arms,
as drifts against the wall.
In large amounts they cover peaks,
of soaring mountain tops.
They gather in deep valleys,
and white blanket winter crops.
An avalanche their power strong,
or blinding winter snow.
Perhaps enjoying recreation
skiing downhill to and fro.
Winter fades and spring ensues
now gone its frozen toil.
Their beauty fading as they melt
returning to the soil.
