Val loses her cool.
I was agitated and Jen knew it. The whole car ride over she tried getting me to talk, and I sat behind the wheel silently following the car in front of us.

"C'mon Val, what're you so upset about?" She pleaded with me, rolling her window up and down and up and down. I jammed my finger down on the window lock and glared at her.

"I shouldn't be going." I finally said. Jen rolled her eyes, and tried reaching over me to unlock the windows. A slap battle ensued, until I yelled at her to remind her that I was driving.

"Look, it's not a big deal. You're going with a whole group of people, this is for Jenny and Chris, and James knows your situation. Plus, he's still married. And Luke knows exactly where you're at, I don't see what the issue is!" She exclaimed.

"The issue is, I don't know if I can trust myself!" I practically screamed at her. And it was finally out. The truth, my fear.

My sister had nothing to say to that. After a long stretch of thoughtful silence, she finally spoke up.

"One drink. Two tops, and then we will leave, I promise. I've got your back."
