A dog's point of view
I met a man out walking
He greeted me with a smile
He had a black dog on a leash
We stopped to chat a while
He said his name was Homer
His partner’s name was Joe
I asked, “How long’ve you had him?”
He said, “I don’t really know.
This guy still counts in man-years
And time just drags on by
But multiple by seven
And the years can really fly.”
So Homer went on down the road
With Joe two steps behind
It’s always nice to have a talk
With one of your own kind
