Memoir in Free Verse form
As youngsters, we often bickered
and fought over Tinker Toys set
and who got to lick Ma's chocolate icing bowl.

After we went our separate ways,
following our ambitions down different paths,
the days, months, and years flew by
until the zephyr of life
blew our dreams away.

Even though we may still squabble
about where the political winds are taking us,
the bond between brothers
cannot be broken.

While life keeps a-rollin' toward the sunset,
we face the darkening shadows together.
