Friends Forever Dear

A year-end poem celebrating friendship.

Some great news,
Then, a round
To toast our deep
And lasting friendship. 

A year of setbacks has culminated
In a late-Autumn resolve;
To nurture my sweet friends
Through thick and thin -
Another year-end
In which my instincts
Balance our insights
While celebrating our desirous
And challenging personas! 

Only the passing of time shall conclude
If the space I grant my comrades
Shall survive their lengthy journeys.
But for now, my heart beats
Loud and strong for my compatriots
And their grateful, supportive families,
As they and I construct
A winning set of strategies
For success and glory -
In the coming year!
