The opening of my first chapter for this year's NaNoWriMo. What do you think of it?
She was doomed the moment she walked in.
The room was so small she couldn't even open the window all the way. The whole place was very narrow, and a big mirror covered the wall to her left. She looked at herself for a moment, in the white neon light. Her curly hair looked dark, almost brown, and her cheeks were red. She was wearing only a blue shirt that lay tight against her young breasts, and a pair of shorts. Nothing fitting for the upcoming winter. But that's all she came with, and she couldn't go back for more.
Her green tinted eyes looked at our reflection in the mirror.
"I told you it's small." We said.
"Yeah." She giggled and turned around to us. "But it's okay."
"You can sleep here tonight, and just leave tomorrow."
She smiled. "What are you gonna do tomorrow?"
"Write. As usual."
Since she was a Minor, let's just call her Y.
We've met not long ago, like we've met many girls who came and went away. That's life for you. We looked at her sitting on the bed. It was low and narrow, barely fitting two people, but when we told her that would be the case, Y said it's okay.
She came of her own free will. Believe us, that's also why she stayed.
