A Warning

A concrete poem based off of the fairytale, Blue Beard, for Once Upon a Contest

Take care and take heed of me, you who are newly engaged

Whether it be for love or convenience or other reasons

Curiosity can kill a cat and it can kill you too, this

was learned by one young lady who married

Blue Beard but didn’t heed his advice

when he declared “Have all I

own but stay away from

the little closet that’s

mine alone.”
