A Ravenfly poem |
| In the midst of Christmas Eve drills, While elves tested Santa's sleigh, An alien contact sent chills, And thrills through Santa's chalet. The alien beamed down to sit, On the lap of old St. Nick, Where Santa did quickly commit, To a new spacecraft joystick. With much joy, praise, and goodwill to proclaim, The alien returned from whence he came. A Ravenfly poem has a syllable and rhyme pattern of 8a,7b,8a,7b 8c,7d,8c,7d followed by a rhyming couplet with 10 syllables per line.
