What I did on the Christmas Holidays
Today I am going to do something a bit different. In this post I will be sharing my Christmas with you.

I have had the apartment decorated since December 2, but that’s not where the fun stops. We have had the kitchen fully stocked, the turkey bought and the presents under the tree.

My boyfriend had Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off. Normally I would cook breakfast every morning, but on Christmas Eve he had to go to Walmart before it closed. We needed a few odds and ends. We did spend the afternoon watching Home Alone 2 and The Nightmare Before Christmas. We knew that our huge turkey dinner was the next day, so we decided to have tacos and some turkey bites and chicken wings for supper. We opened our gifts after supper as we enjoyed our Christmas lights and watched CSI Miami. Unfortunately, we have head colds, so staying in and staying warm was the best thing we could think of. Our neighbor, who has six cats of her own, brought some sponge balls, cat chicken treats, canned cat food and a rubber fish for our adorable cat, Tiddles, for a Christmas gift. Tiddles played all night with her new toys.

Christmas Day started early. I cooked breakfast, eggs, bacon, bologna, sausage, breakfast fries, and waffles. After breakfast it was time to stuff the turkey. Surprisingly, I made a little too much dressing. The 4Kg turkey was completely stuffed, and I still had enough to put into foil in the oven. The delicious smell of turkey and vegetables went through the entire apartment. My boyfriend also made his Nan’s Christmas pudding. We watched a Muppet Christmas Carol and A Christmas Carol.

Boxing Day will be for leftovers. We will certainly have plenty. We don’t do a turkey often because they are huge, and we have so much left over. We still have a few Christmas movies to watch. Usually, Boxing Day is a part of the Christmas Holiday in Canada, or that's how I've always viewed it. Some people take it as a day for just relaxing. Some people still are celebrating. In our house, the Christmas celebration extends to New Year's Day. I don't take my Christmas decorations down until January 2.
