Exercise out of The Write-Brain Workbook
You Are Cordially Invited

[Since the workbooks fonts used are not optional on WDC, I'll describe them as best as I can...The first font is all capitals, a bolder face font with a decent amount of space between each letter. Nothing fancy or typewriter like. Just plain bolded caps.]

THE INVITATION WAS WAITING IN JESSICA'S MAILBOX WHEN SHE GOT HOME. Another pool party and barbeque. How many could she be invited to before the summer was over? Of course, she'd go she had to make an appearance but she wasn't exactly excited. She was getting a bit old for parties that didn't require alcohol, regardless of her age. At least, she'd be able to model her new bikini. She didn't work as hard as she did to be bikini ready and not show off her body. Maybe she'd have fun after all. I mean, there'd have to be boys there, right?

[The 2nd font resembles somewhat of a handwriting type. It's a loose cursive, the letters not tight together yet still connected. The capital letters are large and loopy. It's a step down from super fancy yet still formal and nice.]

The Invitation was pink and blue, to not reveal the gender. Paula insisted on a gender neutral baby shower. She wanted to receive gift's that were useful such as diapers, bottles, and furniture as opposed everyone showing up with cute pajama sets which she had a million of. The shower was three weeks away and already almost everything on her registry was purchased. Now, if only someone would buy the crib she was dying to have for her little one her list would be complete.

[The 3rd font is an extremely fancy, tight cursive handwriting type. The letters are very close together, all connected and smaller lettering. Very loopy, curvy and formal.]

The Invitation was intricately designed with real rose petals incorporated into the cover. Linda and Matthew McCalloway's names were written in a beautiful script across the front with a photograph of when the couple first met ten years ago. They were a perfect couple, complementing each other in all the right ways. They're an excellent example of what couples strive to be. The wedding would be held in the Bahamas, a gorgeous beachfront ceremony.

[Last but not least, the 4th font is fun! The letters are all capital and a bolded font but unlike the first font, it is anything but ordinary. The letters are very close together with the tops of "t's" over top on the next letter. In the word "the" for example, keeping in mind everything is capitaled, the T is normal but then on the H the second vertical line starts lower down and the top of the E overlaps into the H. In WAS, the W has an extra line that hangs above the A and the A is a smaller letter than the rest of the word. The letters are all fun, unique and different.]

THE INVITATION WAS THERE WHENEVER I CHOSE TO RSVP. Of course, I could I would be going I just didn't want to call too soon and seem eager. Why would I miss a luau? I may not be Hawaiian but they sure knew how to have fun! The last luau I attended, I mastered the hula. Let's hope it's like riding a bicycle. I can't wait!
