A poem to my daughter enlisted in USAF
Tech Sergeant Ashley S. Reyes
With the day getting closer,
Don’t fret your birthday age.
Just remember what you’ve accomplished,
When you walked across that stage.
Just look at it this way,
Throughout the years you have grown.
Public speaking in front of many,
Is a skill that you have honed.
You stand tall, pretty and proud
Like the colored candles on your cake.
A salute to you Tech Sergeant,
More steps in life, I know, you'll take.
Continue on your journey,
But don’t count the candles.
Every birthday comes with gifts,
And lessons in life you can handle.
