That man was once me, broken and scared... but found you in the end, my heart has bared.

Once there was a man who never looked back
His heart seemed turned into a lonely stone
His mind clouded by hopelessness grew black
Like the sorrows of the dying stars’ groan

Once there was a man who always looked down
Tears on his cheeks kept flowing and forlorn
Recalling his once fiery past that drowned
His life in deep water, wretched and mourned.

Never did he think the sun rose again
When a beautiful soul before him appeared
Speechless and panicky, but learned not to feign
Knowing when it was true love, not false he feared

I was that man who once afraid to love,
But found the one - my blessing from above
