The void left behind.
When You Left

The day is quiet and looms,
My voice is raw and coarse.
The night is filled with gloom,
Since you left to the Air Force.

The tires has two slow leaks,
My heart has been divorced.
The time stretches into weeks,
Since you left to the Air Force.

The cat keeps running away,
Her hair is dry and coarse.
I don't know what else to pray,
Since you left to the Air Force.

Your smile is no longer here,
The joy has lost it's source.
My heart has a growing tear,
Since you left to the Air Force.
