A piece of the past that longs to be present.
I’m trapped inside of your head
Don’t let it collapse in on me
I’m carefully following your breath
Becoming a shadow on your street

A floater in your peripheral
And I’m transparent when lateral
My frequency’s to low to hear
A thought too small for you to bear

Remember when I was laced with gold
You said I ruled your smile from my throne
Mixed into the crowd, we danced alone
Remember when we were our own
