Finding God's peace in the midst of pain.
The death of a mother
A cancer-sick mother
A pain-stricken-bone-weary-
Shell-of-a-mother…

The grief, the regret,
Self-pity, depression
Leads one to seek answers
In wisdom and lore
In Jesus, the answers are solid
And sure.

Be of good courage,
The bold Word declares
In a scary, harsh world
Where such things are scarce.

Where once I saw theft
That God stole her away,
I now see homecoming…
A paradise from pain.

And He shall strengthen your heart,
All you who hope in the Lord

And I do.
Dear Lord, I do…
And I’m sorry for when
I didn’t.
