The light elves have lost the first battle but want the demon's gold mine.
Travis slammed his staff down on the large oak table, “I told you it wouldn’t work."
"Okay!" Jade exclaimed loudly. "So, it didn't work."
"Well, you're the war minister." Travis paced around the dimly lit meeting room. "You aren't supposed to make blunders that get your men killed."
"Like I don't already feel the wrath and guilt hanging over my head."
"What are we going to do now?"
"Well, we are less two thousand mercenaries but we still killed a tremendous amount of the demon's troops. That weakens them if we attack again, soon. We can't give them time to bring in more troops."
"How many healers do we have?"
"Last count when we got back was twelve thousand."
"How soon can we mobilize another attack?"
"I would say within the hour." Jade pointed to the mine on the map with one finger and the demon's city with the other. "It'll take at least two hours for them to get more troops to the mine. If we leave within the hour we can attack thirty minutes before that."
"You think we can take the mine from them this time?"
"I think as  long as we get the proper spells cast by the wizard and our hero, Pontos has his armor chosen well, we can definitely win."
"Okay, I'll go tell the troops to prepare."
