The hectic human at one extreme, calm and loving Jesus at the other.

God abides in stillness,
Humans won't stand still.
Faith requires submission,
Man applies strong will.

Jesus taught forgiveness,
We cling to each grudge.
Jesus welcomed sinners,
We're the first to judge.

Jesus brought us blessed peace,
The world is full of clatter.
Jesus died that we might live,
To most, that doesn't matter.

We pile up our worldly goods,
He cares just for our soul.
He asks for humility,
While we strive for control.

God forever cares for us,
Each week we pray an hour.
We depend on just ourselves,
He stands by in power.

"My yoke is easy," says the Lord,
While life shouts out demands.
"Faster, more, not good enough,"
God holds out his hands.

Time means nothing to the Lord,
He'll calmly stand and wait,
Watching us rush round and round,
While our time grows late.
