Living with anxiety and depression
You will get used to me

Soon you won’t be able to tell us apart.

I am that footed boot standing on your chest, making your heart beat hard and fast, your ears ring.

The heavy wooden yoke pressing your shoulder downwards and making it impossible to hold your head up...that’s me too

I am why you hurt harder and cry longer and you stopped trusting yourself.
It’s really me you shouldn’t trust. I tilt your thinking and multiply your fears. I am why you lack confidence and faith in your own abilities.

It is me making your world spin, uprooting and ungrounding you; making you feel that loss of control.

I am your anxiety and depression. I'm not sure how I got here but now that I've arrived, we 'll figure it out together.

You will get used to me…
