We all have our faults, but we have our small moments, too.
Redeeming Act

I admit it.
Neatness is not
my strong suit.
A less tolerant soul
might even label
me a bit of
a slob.

I am slow to pick
up after myself.
I leave stuff
laying around.
Neatness freaks
wonder how I
can live like this.

There are days,
though, when,
on a whim,
I cut some backyard
roses and place
them in a sparkly
clean glass vase.

They open
gloriously
amid the
clutter.
