Human both vanity and ambition are sometimes immense and make of us individualistic people

In my dream, I was climbing upstairs fast,
There was a great fog and the place seemed mystical,
My heart was fluttering and I was out of my breath,
A long spiral leading to a strange place seemed there,
Its stairs seemed endless and there was an immense crowd,
There was a great rushing and people were individualistic,
There was no time to withdraw,
The stairs disappeared down at the light speed,
I could not watch downstairs, just an immense space was there,
An old man could not climb he vanished,
But before that he gave a torch,
Another climb easily upstairs,
The stairs supported just the strong that resisted and rejected the weak ones,
Just human vanity led us and a gigantic ambition was a need,
But endless stairs remained there and no one reached the top.
