Make believe

Just thoughts in my head

It’s like I’m in a dream
Floating around but I can’t breathe
Everything I think I thought I knew
Is all make believe

How did I get here
How can this be
I’m not sure where to go from here
But I can’t stand this in between

It’s like a mountain
Rising from nothing
Swallowing me up
Until all that’s left
Could ‘hardly’ even be called something

I’m sad and in despair
The feeling
Of never belonging anywhere
There’s something wrong and I can feel it
But I can’t touch or see it

It’s crazy how things come and go
Like little specs of nothing in time
It just goes to show
Everything I thought I knew
Means nothing
All it’ll ever be is hardly something
