Some theme ideas I've come up with for Peanut Butter's first birthday party
1. Black and Gold Princess Party
- Crowned kitten princess themed table settings
- Put whatever Peanut Butter's favorite flower is in black and orange vases
- Castle backdrop made from leaves and twigs I picked up from our backyard
- Black and orange rosette cake
- Black and orange Peanut-Butter pattern cupcakes
- Princess treat cups
- Gold star wands with toy mice at the end of the tassels

2. Peanut Princess Dress-Up Party
- Peanut castle cake
* Cake will be decorated to look like a forest queen's castle because Peanut Butter likes to be outside
- Peanut Butter princess cookies
- Princess Peanut Butter cake pops
- Bibbidi Bob-bidi Boo-tique
* Bob will be dressed as a fairy godkitten and greet the birthday girl and guests into the boutique where their owners will get to dress them up in tiny dresses and wigs (a princess isn't complete without the hair)
- Castle dessert table backdrop
* Also made of leaves and twigs from outside
- Black and orange tables
- Crowned black and orange cupcakes

3. Three Wishes in Agrabah
- Should I play the Lumpy Touch genie videos, or will that scare the children?
- Three wishes cake
* Power, Fame, or Wealth
- Customized Three Wishes sweets
- Black and orange dessert tables and Pedestals
- Black and orange sequin lamps
- Genie lamp table settings
- Genie the barn cat entertains as a genie

4. Beauty & the Beast & Knuckles
- Master Emerald mirror party invites
- Knuckles princess cupcakes
- Master Emerald peanut butter cookies
- "Be Our Guest & Knuckles" banner unless I can come up with something that makes more sense
- Knuckles silhouette treat bags
- Phrase-adorned dessert pedestal
* All phrases will be lyrics from "Unknown from M.E."
- Master Emerald collar favors
- Storytime featuring my retelling of Beauty and the Beast with Knuckles as Belle and Shadow as the beast
* I might have to make Shadow a girl, though; I don't know how much controversy I could create if I expose one-year-olds to a romance between two people of the same gender, even if these kids are cats. I'm all for educating children about LGBT, but I want to do it when they're ready and not when it's too early and not healthy for their development.
