I have started to become more and more aware of the sun's harsh rays and skin protection.
As of recently, after moving to Los Angeles and seeing people who have spent their years laying on the beach, I have started to see some skin that looks like a vintage suitcase. If you don’t know what I mean by this, head to the beach and within fifteen minutes you’ll get it.
So, because I want to avoid looking all wrinkled when I’m older, and because I have very sensitive skin (I get oily very easily and breakout very easily), I have decided to try out different brands of sunscreen and let you guys know which ones leave your skin feeling like it did before the application.
I have seen this brand on the shelves of so many stores for so long and just recently decided to give it a whirl, and dang was it a good idea. From their body sunscreens to their face cover ups, not one of the products that I have tried of theirs has let me down... the pricing rocks too! Amongst the large amount of items that they sell, my personal favorite that I have tried (in terms of sunscreen of course) are the Glow Stick Sunscreen and the Perfect Day 2-in-1. The Glow Stick Sunscreen is SPF 50 and is basically like rubbing a large chapstick on your face. The Perfect Day 2-in-1 product is a tube that has a twist off cap for you to access the suncream, while the cap flips open to a protective lip balm.
2. Drunk Elephant
Drunk Elephant is absolutely one of my favorite new found beauty brands, and it has truly made its debut into my makeup bag. They sell two face sunscreens, the Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense, and the Umbra Tinte Physical Daily Defense. One of which is a clear sunscreen that can go under your makeup, and the other which adds a little tint if you prefer some extra color or instead of a foundation. Both of them are 30 SPF and will not let you down.
For those of you who are looking for a product with just a little amount of SPF for under your makeup, Hourglass’ Veil Mineral Primer is the product for you. Its 15 SPF and is my absolute favorite item in my makeup drawer... not exaggerating. It is so light and airy that when you rub it in, it feels as if it’s disappearing. While it is a little on the expensive side, it is absolutely worth the price!
