The soldiers gathered

Radical force of new found foe

Shoulder to shoulder

Campaign of equal merit

In valiant camaraderie

Justified by pride's allegiance

Convinced of cause

Blessed by fidelity of faith

Assured of purpose

Adjudicated principles presumed

Righteous in reason

Sanctified in assumed morality

Adamant in argument

Armored artillery targeted

Swords ready and drawn
Crusade of impending death
To all objectionable souls
Knighted in opposition
Anointed in rival dispute
Dubbed enemy by defiance
Hatred's brotherhood of man

Nobility erased by the sea
Of salty scarlet river shed
As is, honor expunged
At death's final calling
Trumpet's cry gives claim
To no mans triumphant throne
Assertion of righteousness
Unsown at soldier's tomb
Death still bred of tears
All causes laid to rest
Nameless victor jubilant
Ravages of war eternal

Turn away from sword
And heavy metal shield
Embrace the brotherhood
Of mankind, with disparity
Dichotomy of humanity
Explored in loving grace
