A short poem ruminating on a lifetime relationship.
Do you not wish
You had stayed instead?
You gave a shrug!

If only time could stand still
Or perhaps permit a return visit
For a cherishing hug

What if opposite poles
Did not attract
And we were, at the start
Flung apart

But back then naturally
We remained in bed
With our childish ideas
While holding onto
Each other’s heart
