This is a poem about the end of an active friendship

We had travelled
to the ends of the earth
You, donning your shiny red armour
I, too, rocking my favourite blue.

Partners in crime,
we scaled heights beyond
traversing terra firma
Until the sun set.

Now, resting, retired
and reclusive
we observe from afar
Carrying reminders of our
destinations reached.

The dust now settled
upon our aged frames.
