It's a little odd when an ice cream truck plays a Christmas carol
Hanging clothes outside
on a hot, dry day
Gentle sun on my back
gone is the month of May

Now it's June in all its glory

It whimpers away slowly
tired but content

In the boundless great outdoors
bees and wasps hum, meeting
Cats prance through yards
as birds are happily tweeting

Fluffy clouds gently cover
the bristling, busy earth
I am enjoying the scene
for all its joyous worth

but the song grows faint
The moment has passed
although it was quaint

It was gone too soon
and what a tune

To hear a Christmas song
piercing the gentle air
Hypnotizing ice cream lovers
and dreamers everywhere

I consider ice cream
but the song grows faint
The moment is gone
