A man writes a notice on the side of a tree whilst hiding from the rain.
There was
Nothing
There to
See

The pair
Was hunting
There to
Be

I could
Not see
What held
The tree

It was
A month in
And rapt
To thee

I could
Not be
But be
The rise

Although
I lead
And be
Despised

I could
Not flee
And free
These spies

My next
Is end
My flesh
It lies

The words
Shall flow
Under
This tree

There was
Nothing
There to
See
