A glimpse into my childhood.
As the Sr. Louis Blues won their first Stanley Cup I couldn't help but reflect on my childhood. You see I was in grade school when it was built. Of course one of the things people were curious about was many wondered what they would do if that got to the top and they were 20 ft or so off? They actually were just a tad off but were able to fix that with some minor adjustments. The idea for some kind of monument had been talked about for years. I have never gone inside of it. It does actually move and can stand up to 150 mile an hour winds. If St. Louis ever gets those kinds of winds they will have more to worry about than just the arch coming down. My life has taken me hundreds of miles away from my hometown and yet there are still those childhood memories.
