The privilege of the Internet.
I often feel like a king
having Internet access,
for it is royal privilege.
I do not question
the privilege;
rather, I savor it.
Internet…a conduit
essentially to the
world’s knowledge;
education by default.
If used that way, of course,
because there is also
clamor and discord,
a possible wrecking ball
of untruths and propaganda.
Still, every morning with
my coffee, the weather
is a click away. I watch
oncoming storms radar
alerts me to. I could not
influence their track
even if I were a king.
It is royalty, in a way,
to have windows on all
aspects of existence.
A You Tube video on
any subject one can
imagine—quite a thought,
and quite different from
when I was in school.
Yet the schooling
continues, thanks
to computers, which
interface the Internet.
The ease amazes
me still.
If I were a King…yeah,
considering the power
of the Internet, I
guess I am.
