Thoughts about time.
Face of time appearing bold;
it can also be quite cold.
Sometimes we avoid the dawn,
yet old time keeps marching on.

Countenance appearing stark,
unafraid to face the dark.
Constant flowing grains of sand,
even if within our hand.

Hands and numbers, though no eyes;
has no wings yet still it flies.
Seconds ticking ‘round its cheek;
minute, hour, day and week.

Peering boldly, steady stare;
passing time without a care.
Looks at us without a grin;
in life’s game, will always win.

Face of time, enduring mug;
some may even say ’tis smug.
But in rivalries sublime,
one can never conquer time.
