Contest entry for PersonITification Contest for July, based on picture prompt
My personality can be prickly
If you bump into me, you will move quickly!
Too much water can make me sickly.
I prefer the desert clime.

Lovely blooms adorn my breast
Though short lived, they can attest
To my beauty above all the rest
In this arid desert clime.

I’ve ribs and spines and waxy skin,
Though not like yours, mine isn’t thin!
I’m happy with the shape I’m in
Living in this desert clime.

Faceless am I, rooted in sand,
I reign supreme in my vast land,
No feet nor legs, yet I still stand
Regal in this desert clime.
