Free Verse Writing Prompt Pic #1
What were you thinking?
Dumping trash into the sea
Did you think the sea would clean itself?
Or maybe the whale would enjoy an afternoon snack

Did you think that everything would be okay?
That you could dump and continue on your merry way
Does the floating debris not bother you?
Do you dump your junk in your own back yard?
And wait for mother nature to take control,
Of your messy situation, which you bring on yourself,
Though lazy thoughtless superior mistakes.

When will the entitlement end?
When will the accountability for human's begin?
Maybe after everything has died and the only things left
Are us, who can barely survive,
The burning sun rays and polluted waters.

As trees will be the next, due to fall down and die
Taking its oxygen as a hostage, in exchange for high demands.
Of parking lots, new housing or maybe a shopping mall.
The replacements for the forest of paradise.
