A rainy day has some good results. This was also too late for a contest.
It was a short rain shower day.
The children went out to play.
They wore their little boots
And new two-piece playsuits.
Then stepped in every puddle along the way.

Young Graham had a small wooden boat.
It was a beautifully painted sailboat.
With a rainbow-colored paper sail,
that his mother got on a sale.
He protected it with his fancy raincoat.

Fair Audrey carried her favorite toy rubber duck.
It was yellow and named after her dear Uncle Chuck.
It floated in the puddle just right,
And was such a beautiful sight.
That it left proud dainty Audrey awestruck.

The children got muddy and wet.
Their parents were not really upset.
They felt children needed fun
And when all their play was done.
Two young lives would be filled with no regret.
