300 word or less contest - Word Prompt: Shirt, Table, and Board

Once upon a time, there was a set of triplets, Katie, Karol, and Kristy, who were identical triplets. These three were very mischievous and they always switched out their identities for the better of the group. One day, while all attending separate colleges each triplet became engaged in challenging events.

1. Katie was not good at math and had Karol sit-in for her math’s final exam.
2. Karol had a huge fight with her boyfriend, unfortunately, she was not good at defending herself and asked Kristy to defend her honor.
3. Which left Katie to take Kristy’s place at a basketball game.

Each sister explained their situation to the other sister, and all proclaimed the task would be easy to pull off if everyone stayed calm and used common sense…Well:

Karol’s stress about her boyfriend caused her to botch Katie’s math test; who in turn had to acquire a tutor. While super competitive Kristy told Karol’s boyfriend where to stick-it while tossing red-wine on his face and shirt and Katie, who knew nothing from basketball to hockey, would run over to the referee’s table and scream goal, every time her team scored.

Katie fell in love with her tutor quickly, and forgot about having to repeat the math class; while Karol, was now boyfriend less, thanks to Kristy’s short temper and Kristy had some explaining to do with her team-mates.

It did not take the basketball team long to figure out that Katie was not Kristy, as they told Kristy about Katie’s cry-outs of “Goal.” As a result, Kristy’s actions were presented to the Board of Directors, who were more interested in Katie being their mascot, then Kristy’s punishments.
That week, each sister learned it was better to put their own fate in their own hands.
