Written for a contest, using "summer", "love", "fear", and "hope" (winner).

Summer Days

Summer days have come at last when
love abounds and life revives and
fear is banished to the mists and
hope again reclaims her royal throne.

Love abounds and life revives and
lovers stroll through fields of green while
seeing nothing but each other’s eyes.

Fear is banished to the mists and
courage rises in the wind while
children dream and hear adventure’s call.

Hope again reclaims her royal throne,
giving of herself to those who thought
her lost to dark and colder seasons.
