A new champion is in town.
Tap Tomson stood at the top of the building studying the people below. The one he wanted was there, he just knew it. He watched as a feminine looking figure stopped right underneath him.
With one smooth motion, it lifted a camera and took a single flash photo of him. Tap saw red.
“I’ve just gotten to the stage where I can hide in plain sight and still do what I want when I want. But that kind of behavior is going to break my ( cover!” he muttered.
For Tap, that meant she was his next target. Moving quickly, but not too obviously, he made his way to the ground. When he got there, he cursed as the female had already begun strolling in the other direction. In fact, she was almost out of sight.
The man, known in the media as ‘the most vicious killer in history’ followed. When they got to a more deserted area, Tap moved in.
As if his soon-to-be victim sensed him, she turned, revealing a visitor badge on a lanyard around her neck. The serial killer was blind with his need to kill by now and barely noticed. With a practiced motion, she stopped him in his tracks.
He was helpless to move or flee as she blew a police whistle. As the officers swarmed him, he watched as she melted into the crowd.
Indra Jaell watched from a distance as her own target was hustled away. She smiled.
“My job is done. I, the instrument of Karma, have proved that she cannot and will not be avoided in the end!”
She cocked her head to a sound that only she could hear.
“Another wishes to know Karma,” she whispered as she took to the air and headed out of Earth’s atmosphere.
