Seeing reality.
With eyes in their head
and hearts that are dead,
without thought, words flow,
leaving tears wherever they go.

Weeping eyes with a dry face
seems so very out of place
for a funeral celebration
for one of no relation.

A pasted on smile,
slipping with each mile
spent on this boring trek
down the Styx on an old wreck.

Charon, with coins for eyes,
carries people, filled with lies,
who lost their sight long ago,
and now, off to Hades go.
