Ever wonder why the woods is so quiet at night?
Have you ever been to the woods at night?
The darkened trees obscure your sight.
The silence that is heard as nature sleeps in peace.
Let me tell you that not all things cease.
It will watch you as you pitch your tent
Red eyes watch with dark intent
It lies in wait for you to sleep
Only then will it creep
If you are lucky you will survive the night
Leaving you with quite a fright
So if you decide to take a hike
Remember it might strike
For it is its’ domain you tread upon
And in its’ woods, you are just a pawn.
