What is normal, anyway?
What is normal, anyway?
Does anybody know?
Down the Keys at Hemingway’s
The cats have extra toes

What is normal, anyway?
Well, who am I to say?
What would be weird just yesterday
Has become the norm today

What is normal, anyway?
It’s anybody’s guess
There ought to be a simple way
To take a litmus test

What is normal, anyway?
And is it good or bad?
We like to think we all fit in
Or else we might feel sad

What is normal anyway?
Just tell me what is right
Or is it wrong to be the norm?
I’m getting so uptight

What is normal anyway?
And am I out of place?
Can’t I find where I belong
Within the human race?

What is normal anyway?
I’m better than a cat
My feet have only five toes each
Is something wrong with that?

What is normal anyway?
Well, I don’t really care
I’d rather be the way I am
So let the people stare

What is normal, anyway?
I’m happy as I am
I may be an abnormal type
But I don’t give a damn
