Your tears run down your face in a never-ending waterfall. The wind was dancing through your perfectly styled golden hair, but you didnโ€™t care. Your freckled face was sore and broken, but you didnโ€™t care. Your dress was torn and ragged, but you didnโ€™t care. Your tears fall to the ground and form a puddle. The door behind you creaks open as your best friend moves to sit beside you. You instinctively wipe your tears from your face, and he laughs.

โ€œI know youโ€™re hurting. You donโ€™t have to hide from me.โ€
He gives you a shy smile and you manage to smile back. The tears fall down your face again and he pulls you towards him. You wrap your arms around him and burry your face in his shoulder. He holds you tightly and you cry into his shoulder.

โ€œShhh. Everythingโ€™s going to be okay.โ€
He strokes your hair and you hide away in his arms. I watch you from a distance, but you donโ€™t know Iโ€™m there. But he does. He looks up at me and mouths โ€˜thank you.โ€™ I smile at him and walk the other way. I look over my shoulder and mutter a single word under my breath.
