A day in the life of a cat.
Cat slept in a ray of light
The window reflecting his twin
He stretches out his muscles tight
Feline frolicking to begin

No worry running through his mind
Cats never hurry; no sense of time
Hunting, pouncing, chasing his prey
Some for food, some for play

Then cat sits high upon a fence
Mournfully singing into the night
Seeking a mate for love intense
Whom he will abandon come first light

No guilt for cat and no remorse
That’s the life of a cat of course
If you want a friend and loyalty
"Get a dog," says the cat, "for that isn't me."
