Memorial for the Fallen - be it war or those who fight to defend in any walk of life.
Take rest, my brother,
you’ve stood your ground.
Let other shoulders the burden bear.
Take rest, you’ve fought
for Freedom’s life,
Stopping Evil that would dare.

Take rest, my brother,
you’ve paid your dues
With sweat and tears and blood.
Take rest, the fight’s
no longer yours.
Your Warriors’ work is done.

You fought, and paid, for Freedoms’ gain,
You fought to stop Oppression’s pain.
You stood for Right ‘gainst Hatred’s blast
And tore the net that Evil cast.

         For love of brother, friend-at-arms,
You held at bay War’s darkest harm.
For friend and brother, blood or not,
The Gift you gave won’t be forgot.

And now has come the time, at last,
To leave the fight, the torch to pass
To others, let them lift it high.
Let Freedom ring through Warrior’s cry.

Take rest, my brother,
your job is through,
Let other hearts with pride beat firm.
Take rest, the fight
for you is o’er
And to your God you now return.

Take rest, my brother,
‘neath cross so white
And know you gave your very all.
Take rest, we stand
as bugle plays you
Into Death’s Pavilioned Hall.
