For those that are stuck ruminating about bad things and forget to do good things now.
Afraid to tell the truth
of things done in your youth
that might hurt your loved ones
tarnish your name
mark you as uncouth

Realize it's also true
you're no longer the younger you
you've erred of course
but you feel remorse
to keep punishing yourself won't do

For humans live and learn
all have bridges we have burned
good folk sometimes lose their way
only psychopaths will feel no pain
so feeling some guilt is okay

Remember that all in all
you have to get up when you fall
help out others when you can
lessons make you a better man
answer your bad with goodness when it calls
