There was rumbling happening from here to far
A celebration was coming, but who was the star?
Speculation and gossip were cast to and fro,
Should someone venture out to see what goes?
For everyday stars chased each other about
While some standing patrol guided traffic with shouts
They were working hard to keep the universe collision-free
Yet one day there was a rumbling from down deep in the starry sea
They said it had been building for some nineteen years exact
When renegade stars crossed the border, from the Universe of Fact
To collide with our stars, their intention you will see
To paint the heavens with stardust and give birth to Star Sherri
Now Sherri runs the orchestra that has assembled today
To rain down glistening stardust, it'll be a weeklong display
And speak to the heavens in her shimmering decree;
"Write freely, and pen your thoughts upon my stardust breeze!"
