The imagination of a child is a miracle all by itself.
When pulling wool pyjamas
over his head
And then once more
as he shook out the spread
Magical sparkles
a hug and then bed

Little lights flashing
there in the night
Spells from the fairies
to his imaginative sight
They snap and they crackle
and too often bite

I could speak about science
show him the proof
But then magic all too soon
will die with his youth
Let him dream a while longer
and grow into the truth
